Hi Joe,
the book arrived yesterday and I've already read it. I found it surprisingly good!
I found it very gentle and accommodating to younger audiences, the concepts are explained in a clear and engaging way. The book is also very nicely structured (in the way it builds up). Also I like that the reader is "challenged" to try out things / variants of what was presented.
The illustrations are excellent and the humor is greatly appreciated :-)
Myself I learnt some things I didn't know about MiniScript, but what I get most out of it is the inspiration to write, comment and explain programs to a less experienced / younger audience. Again, you did a great job there - worth emulating (do you work as an educator or had the assistance of one?)
In short: I think it's very good, and I hope it gets more exposure in the future!
Cheers,
Sebastian
P.S. Do I understand correctly that your other book is then a continuation of this one? (the one with 30 days) Is it also available as print-on-demand?
